Commemorating Our Late President Lee Teng-hui (1923-2020)

We are sad to inform all friends of Taiwan that President Lee Teng-hui just passed away at the age of 98（虛歲）. President Lee contributed greatly to this country's democratic reforms and was thus dubbed 'Mr. Democracy' of Taiwan. Under his leadership Taiwan had the opportunity to connect with countries sharing the same progressive, liberal values. We truly appreciate his devotion to this nation.
A commemorating site has been set up for friends of Taiwan and well-wishers at the lobby of Taipei Mission in the Republic of Latvia. Commemorating posts have also been published on Twitter and FB for friends not able to come in person, and would like to send the condolence from distance by leaving a message online.
