Amb. Lee visits Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL)

On March 15th, Amb. Andrew Lee visited Mr. Kriss Elerts, Director of International Department of Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL), to discuss academic cooperation and exchange.
Director Elerts gave an in-depth introduction on the School’s establishment, development and vision, and expressed strong willingness to engage in academic and educational exchange and cooperation in the fields of international relations, international laws, and disinformation with Taiwan. Amb. Lee warmly welcomed Mr. Elerts’s proposal by indicating that such exchange and collaboration are mutually beneficial and conducive to cultivating better understanding and friendship between two sides. Amb. Lee also briefed about various scholarship programs offered by the government of Taiwan, and urged Latvian scholars and students to take advantage of Taiwan’s advanced and friendly studying environment and its strategic position as an international hub of ICT industry, as well as Taiwan studies and Sinology.
Established in 1998, the Riga Graduate School of Law currently has about 250 undergraduate and graduate students from nearly 40 countries. It is now an educational institution for students and government officials from Latvia and countries in Central Eastern Europe, Central Asia and west Balkans, who seek to deepen their knowledge in the fields of law and international relations.
