The Head of Taipei Mission in the Republic of Latvia, Ambassador Gary Ko, and Madame Ko visited Liepāja on 17th Sep. During their visit, they have a talk with Mr. Uldis Sesks, the mayor of Liepāja, two deputy mayors, Mr. Gunars Ansins and Mr. Jurijs Hadarovics. Also they visited the Port, Special Economic Zone and the University of Liepaja. As the head of Taipei Mission, Ambassador Ko reiterated that he devoted himself to strengthen the relations between Taiwan and Latvia, to boost the bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, science, culture and education. He is going to help Liepaja build closer relations with Taiwan. For instance, the cooperation between the University of Liepaja and the National Taitung University, the meeting between Leipaja hospital and the National Taiwan University Hospital will be arranged in the near future.
