駐馬紹爾群島共和國大使館劉漢清臨時代辦應馬國國會議長瓦西(Brenson Wase)邀請,於本(2025)年10月8日下午出席於馬國國會大樓舊址舉辦之國會大樓重建破土典禮式,馬國總統海妮(Hilda C. Heine)及多位閣員、參議員、美國大使Laura Stone、日本大使相馬弘尚及澳洲大使館副館長Clair Welsh等使節團成員均出席儀式。海妮總統及瓦西議長於致詞時均特別彰顯台灣對馬國國家建設及國會大樓重建之貢獻。 在此象徵馬國人民堅韌與團結的歷史時刻,台灣將持續與理念相近的國家攜手,堅定支持馬紹爾群島重建這座民主的殿堂,深化兩國人民間的友誼與合作。
Chargé d’Affaires Hank H. C. Liu of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in the Republic of the Marshall Islands attended, at the invitation of Speaker Brenson Wase of the Nitijela (Parliament), the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of the Marshall Islands Parliament Building held on the afternoon of October 8, 2025, at the site of the former Parliament building. The ceremony was graced by the presence of President Hilda C. Heine, several Cabinet Ministers, Senators, and members of the diplomatic corps, including U.S. Ambassador Laura Stone, Japanese Ambassador SOMA Hirohisa, and Australian Embassy Deputy Head of Mission Clair Welsh. In their remarks, both President Heine and Speaker Wase highlighted Taiwan’s contribution to the Marshall Islands’ national development and to the reconstruction of its Parliament building. At this historic moment symbolizing the resilience and unity of the Marshallese people, Taiwan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with like-minded partners in steadfast support of the Marshall Islands as it rebuilds this hall of democracy, further deepening the friendship and cooperation between the peoples of both countries.
