On May 1, 2023, the Presidential Special Envoy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tien Chung-Kwang, along with the 2023 R.O.C. Navy Midshipmen Cruising and Training Squadron, the Council of Indigenous Peoples' Cultural Exchange Delegation, cordially joined the celebration of the 44th Constitution Day events of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, demonstrating Taiwan's steadfast support for its diplomatic ally.
The "Team Taiwan” consists of approximately 300 members including the members of the two delegations, the R.O.C. Naval Academy's Drum and Bugle Corps, R.O.C. Marine’s honor guards, the Taiwanese community in the RMI, the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in the Marshall Islands, Taiwan Technical Mission staff, and Taiwan Health Center. The group, led by the drum beats of the Drum and Bugle Corps, marched in a neat and orderly manner, attracting enthusiastic attention along the route. Upon entering the event venue, the attending guests cheered and welcomed the group with great enthusiasm.
After the official Constitution Day ceremony, the Drum and Bugle Corps took the stage to congratulate the Republic of the Marshall Islands on its 44th Constitution Day with a rousing musical performance. The honor guards followed with an awe-inspiring rifle drill, leaving the audience in amazement. And to cap off the day's events, the Taekwondo Team gave a breathtaking martial arts demonstration, eliciting sustained applause and cheers from the audience.
Taiwan values its friendship with the Republic of the Marshall Islands and supports the country's important celebratory events.
