Shuang Ho Hospital and Ministry of Health signed the Internship Training Contract

Dr. Jia-Wei Lin, Vice Superintendent of Shuang Ho Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and Hon. Kalani R. Kaneko, Minister of Health of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, signed the “Contract for the Medical Internship Training Establishment” at the Marshall Islands Resort on February 24, 2017. Starts from August 2017, Shuang Ho Hospital and the Ministry of Health will cooperate to conduct internship training in Majuro Hospital for the Marshallese graduates of I-Shou University School of Medicine.
In his remarks at the contract signing ceremony, ROC (Taiwan) Ambassador Daniel D.W. Tang emphasized the Government of the ROC (Taiwan) attaches great importance to the Marshallese graduates of the ISU School of Medicine to return to the Marshall Islands for their internship training. The internship training cooperation will not only help the RMI to train its own medical doctors, and to elevate its overall medical standards but also can be a success model for the other Pacific countries.
