TECO in Myanmar once again makes possible a sponsorship of 1500 lunch meals by an anonymous entrepreneur
According to Myanmar calandar, the Tabanung Festival (Magha Puja), also the last full-moon day, falls on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Patthana scripture is recited in all major monasteries. Buddhists voluntarily and respectfully offer rice and provisions to monks and nuns as a routine practice. However, many residents cannot afford to do so freely due to the dual impact of COVID-19 pandemic and political instability.
To help relieve the untold misery endured by local residents, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Myanmar once again, on March 14, made possible a sponsorship of 1500 lunch meals in Dagon Seik Kan Township, Yangon City by an anonymous benevolent entrepreneur. Ambassador Charles Li of the TECO in Myanmar thanks the donor for helping the needy residents in Yangon at this difficult time by participating the cycle of goodness. Ambassador Li heartily welcomes all benevolent businessmen from Taiwan or local community to render a helping hand in whatever way possible to the under-privileged people.
