7月19日是緬甸國定假日烈士紀念日(Martyrs’ Day, also known as Arzarni Day),駐緬甸代表處李朝成代表日前赴仰光烈士紀念園區(Martyrs' Mausoleum)向緬甸國父翁山將軍等烈士致敬。烈士節是紀念1947年7月19日上午緬甸獨立前臨時政府總理翁山將軍與七位內閣閣員及一位警衛在內閣會議中遭到暗殺,為國捐軀後,緬甸政府所制定。緬甸於1948年1月4日脫離英國統治獨立,結束了英國自1824年以降不同階段的殖民統治。
Representative Charles C. Li of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Myanmar paid respects a couple of days before the Martyrs’ Day (Arzarni Day) at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Yangon.
Martyrs' Day in Myanmar is observed on July 19 to commemorate General Aung San and seven other cabinet ministers in the pre-independence interim government, and one bodyguard all of whom were assassinated on that day in 1947. High-ranking government officials and citizens visit the Martyrs' Mausoleum in Yangon to pay respects on July 19. Myanmar (Burma) got independence on January 4, 1948 ending the era of British colonization since 1824.
