The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia is pleased to announce that " New Southbound Policy Short-term Study Program " co-organised by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Taipei Medical University (TMU) is now open for application until 15 July 2022.
In order to promote exchanges of medical and health professionals and officials from countries in this region , Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and TMU have jointly organized “New Southbound Policy Short-term Study Program” for Malaysian medical practitioners, government health officials and senior students of medical schools. The on-campus program will start from September 2022 to January 2023.
" New Southbound Policy Short-term Study Program " package offers students with a monthly stipend of NT$8,000 (approximately equivalent to 1,183 Malaysian Ringgit), credit fees for major subjects and Chinese language course, accommodation and other subsidies during study in Taiwan, as well as expenses for cultural visits and exchange activities related to this program. One direct round-trip economy-class air ticket between Malaysia and Taiwan will also be provided
The program consists of special classes in English and is supervised by specialists appointed by the University. The students are required to complete 6 to 15 credits of professional courses and 6 hours of Chinese language courses weekly (offered by National Taipei University of Technology in the same university system with TMU ). Activities such as cultural visits and supplement language classes will be arranged by the University every month to help and enrich students’ experience and life in Taiwan.
