Tea Philo Talk #59: Jenny Lee on Unicorn Reading Project
Share
The 59th Tea Philo lecture calls attention to the Unicorn Reading Project! Founder of the initiative, Jenny Lee (李惠貞), will share her views on reading physical books and why it still matters even in the digital age.
Set off in 2017, the Unicorn Reading Project tries to redefine reading through activities, exhibitions, and talks, and encourages readers to re-connect with physical reading spaces like bookstores and libraries.
A publishing guru, Lee was the editor-in-chief of Shopping Design 2011 to 2017, and was honoured Best Editor-in-Chief in the magazine category by the Golden Tripod Award in 2016. Chiew Ruoh Peng (周若鵬), noted poet, columnist, and CEO of one of Malaysia’s foremost publishing houses, will be joining Lee for the talk.
The lecture marks the final session of Tea Philo 2022. It will take place online Saturday, Oct. 29, at 8:00pm. Registration is required. Please visit https://www.facebook.com/teaphilomy/ for details.
