How to get a Police Criminal Record Certificate from Taiwan

Overseas applications can be made BY MAIL only.

The Police Criminal Record Certificate (PCRC) is issued by police departments in Taiwan. If you are applying from overseas, you must mail your application directly to Taiwan. TECO offices in New Zealand only authenticate passport photocopies to be used as part of your application.

Foreign (New Zealand) Passport Holders: Once your passport photocopy is notarized by a local New Zealand Notary Public, it can be mailed directly to Taiwan. Authentication by TECO offices is not required.
Taiwan Passport Holders: You may either apply for passport photocopy authentication through TECO offices in New Zealand, or have it notarized by a local New Zealand Notary Public before mailing it directly to Taiwan.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

A completed application form
Proof of identity: A notarized or authenticated photocopy of your passport.
The application fee for the PCRC is US$7 for the first copy, and US$1 for each additional copy requested at the same time (provided that the contents of each certificate are identical). Payment must be made in U.S. dollars in cash (paper currency only).
