The Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Authorized Economic Operator between Taiwan and New Zealand will further facilitate bilateral trade

With the aim to strengthen the security of the supply chain and facilitate bilateral trade between Taiwan and New Zealand, the Taipei Economic and Culture Office in New Zealand (TECO) and New Zealand Commerce and Industry Office (NZCIO) completed signing of the Customs Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on 18 December 2020. Certified companies in Taiwan and New Zealand will enjoy preferential customs clearance treatment and enhance their competitiveness.
The inking of this MRA would not have been possible without the cooperation between the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and relevant New Zealand authorities over the years. This demonstrates again tangible benefits generated by the bilateral free trade agreement between Taiwan and New Zealand and will further promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
