DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- Completed passport application form
- Two identical passport size photos
- Certified birth certificate (which must be authenticated by our office or ROC Overseas Missions)
- New Zealand / foreign passport
- Parents' ROC / foreign passports
- The parents' household registration certificate
- The parents' marriage certificate (which must be authenticated by our office / ROC Overseas Missions)
- Parents' agreement on child's surname (which must be authenticated by our office or ROC Overseas Missions)
- Declaration to adopt Chinese name (if applicable)
- Provided by the parent of the applicant who is not of ethnic Taiwanese/Chinese descent. They must provide a document of their declaration to serve as evidence for their official Chinese name. This document must be authenticated by our office or ROC Overseas Missions.

- Application fees
- $77NZD: For an ordinary e-passport with ten-year validity. OR
- $53NZD: For applicants under 14. This passport is valid for five years. OR
- $17NZD: For applicants who cannot wait for the usual issuance time. This passport is only valid for one year.

- Additional documents may be required depending on the circumstance.
- For non-citizen passport holders entering Taiwan, the general rule is a 3-month stay without extension. To stay longer, up to 6 months, a temporary entry permit (Lin-Jen Entry Permit 臨人字入國許可) is required. This permit grants an initial 3-month stay and allows for a single extension, which can be obtained through the National Immigration Agency.
DURATION
It takes 20~25 working days to process a standard application (an electronic passport). Please note: the processing time begins when we receive a correctly completed application and we have all the information required to issue a passport. Extra time should be allowed for delivery to and from the Passport Office.
