Taiwan-New Zealand Reciprocal Moves--New Zealand travelers are eligible to use Taiwan’s e-Gate starting on November 29 2025

Starting from 29 November 2025, Taiwan opens e-Gate to New Zealand travelers. This is a reciprocal arrangement in term of New Zealand’s extending eGate service to Taiwan e-passport holders since 13 October 2025. Taiwan–New Zealand reciprocity of using automated clearance systems has reached a new milestone!
Taiwan’s international airports and seaports are equipped with 121 e-Gate units. New Zealand travelers who hold an e-passport valid for at least six months,12 years of age or above, at least 120 cm in height, and have no adverse records in Taiwan, may register and use the e-Gate service free of charge.
In addition, Taiwan has fully implemented online arrival card system. All travelers need to complete Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC,https://twac.immigration.gov.tw/) in advance. With the eligibility of using e-Gate, travelers will experience a smooth and efficient immigration clearance service to start your wonderful journey in Taiwan.
