From April 8–10, Fu Jen Catholic University led a multidisciplinary medical team to Palau, joining forces with the New Taipei City Medical Association, Chung Hua Primary Care Foundation, New Taipei City Association of NHI Clinics, and Lian An Medical Group — with support from Taiwan's Embassy in Palau.
Together, they provided free clinics and early cancer screenings across Palau National Hospital, Peleliu State, and Airai State, serving over 200 patients from children to elders.
This marks the first-ever international medical mission to reach Peleliu, offering life-saving care to underserved communities and highlighting the spirit of “Taiwan can help, and Taiwan is helping.”
FJU Hospital also signed MOUs with Palau’s Ministry of Health and the Palau Referral Program, and FJU inked a new partnership with Palau Community College — paving the way for future collaboration in health and education.
A true example of medical diplomacy and compassion across borders.
