We were delighted to welcome a 21-member student delegation from Taiwan’s Ming Dao High School to Palau today. Minister Chen Feng-Yu of the Taiwan Embassy in Palau warmly received the group and held a lively exchange with the students on topics including their exchange program, interaction with Palauan buddies, Taiwan-Palau relations, public diplomacy, economic cooperation, and healthcare initiatives.
The students shared fresh and creative perspectives, such as new forms of educational exchange and the idea of “culinary diplomacy” as a cultural bridge

Minister Chen also encouraged the students to reflect on their future with a broader vision—not just thinking about a job, work, or career, but to seek out their mission and ultimately, their destiny
In addition, Secretary Kao Cheng-Hsiang shared his responsibilities in public diplomacy, Facebook management, emergency assistance, and Taiwan’s participation in the World Health Organization. Secretary Lo Hao-Wei introduced Taiwan’s economic diplomacy efforts and the “Glory to Allied Nations Project,” highlighting successful cases of combining Taiwan’s soft power through culinary events, trade exhibitions, and night market activities. The students responded enthusiastically and actively shared creative ideas.
We hope this visit leaves lasting memories and strengthens the meaningful friendship between Taiwan and Palau.
