On September 5, Ambassador Jessica C.Y. Lee was delighted to welcome Mr. Nobumichi Amma, Country Representative of the Japanese NGO Peace Winds Japan (PWJ, 和平之風), together with Ms. Yi-wen Hsieh, a nursing volunteer dispatched by TaiwanICDF, to Palau.
Mr. Amma highlighted that this marks the first time TaiwanICDF has seconded a volunteer to a Japanese NGO. Ms. Hsieh will be working with PWJ (和平之風), the Ministry of Health, Koror State Government, and Southwest Islands State Government to implement an NCD prevention program and to enhance public health awareness across local communities.
It is also noteworthy that PWJ (和平之風) established its office in Taiwan in February 2025, further strengthening the Taiwan-Japan-Palau cooperation network.
