The Chung-Hua Primary Care Foundation, together with medical professionals fromNew Taipei City Chinese Medical Association, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Linkou and Kaohsiung branches, conducted a free medical outreach clinic at Belau Medical Clinic in Palau on June 11, 2026.
The medical mission provided services in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The event attracted a large number of local residents seeking medical care and health consultations.
Over the course of seven hours, the team served nearly 200 patients, demonstrating Taiwan’s medical expertise and commitment to international humanitarian assistance while addressing healthcare needs in Palau. The visiting specialists also exchanged professional experiences with local healthcare personnel to further enhance medical services and patient care.
This marks the third medical outreach mission to Palau organized by the Chung-Hua Primary Care Foundation. The Foundation first partnered with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in 2024 and later collaborated with Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital in 2025. This year, it once again joined forces with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital to continue promoting Taiwan–Palau medical cooperation.
During their visit, the delegation also called on Ambassador Andy Kang-I Chen at the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Palau. Both sides exchanged views on the outcomes of the medical mission and discussed future opportunities to further strengthen bilateral healthcare cooperation.
Taiwan and Palau have maintained close collaboration in public health and medical services for many years. Through medical missions, professional training, and healthcare exchanges, both countries will continue working together to improve regional healthcare capacity and advance the well-being of their peoples.
