President of the Republic of Palau, H.E. Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr. sent a condolence letter to President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), H.E. Tsai, Ing-wen, for the earthquake victims in Hualien, Taiwan

On February 6, a magnitude 6 earthquake centered in Hualien County in eastern Taiwan has caused more than 300 people injured, dead or missing.
On February 8, President of the Republic of Palau, Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr., sent a condolence letter to President of the Republic of China (Taiwan). In the letter, President Remengeasu stated: “On behalf of the People and Government of the Republic of Palau, I would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to the People and Government of the Republic of China and the families who lost a loved one during this tragic event. The people and Government of the Republic of Palau mourn the loss of our friends in Taiwan.”
As of 17:00 on February 10, a total of 63 countries and 4 International Organizations, including the United States, Japan, the European Union and the Republic of Palau, have conveyed concern and expressed the condolences for the earthquake victims in Hualien.
