General Information for notarization/verification
- Service areas: The Embassy accepts only applications from the Republic of Palau , Guam and Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands
- Documents can be notarized or verified through this office: Power of Attorney, Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Driving License, Academic Degree, Commercial Document, Marriage License, Divorce Decree
- Notarization Stamps will affix on the original document. If you want the original copy intact, please advise us and have an extra xerox copy ready
- Processing fee for English document is $15 apiece. Should a Chinese translation is needed, please have it translated in advance. This Embassy does not offer translation service. The processing fee to legalize a Chinese translation is $15, However, the Chinese translation should be submitted with the English original. The processing fee is $30 for one set of English document together with its Chinese translation. Please pay by cash, or cashier's check, payable to "Embassy of the Republic of China". We do not accept personal checks.

- The applications can be submitted by mail. Applicant must provide a self-addressed and pre-paid return envelope. (express mail service is recommended, please attach a completed airway bill with account chargeable to the recipient)
How to apply for the legalization :
- the application form
- a copy of passport of the applicant
- original documents to be legalized and an extra xerox copy for filing
- process fee $15USD for each document, please pay by cashier's check, payable to: "Embassy of the Republic of China"
- original documents certified by the notary public and then certified by the appropriate government agencies ( if applicable )
- a self-addressed and pre-paid return envelope
