TECO Coordinates with Tzu Chi Foundation for Visayas Quake Relief Efforts

Following the government of the Republic of China's (Taiwan) pledge to donate US$100,000 as post-disaster relief efforts for earthquake victims in Bohol province and Cebu area, the ROC's representative office in the Philippines, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines has coordinated the Taiwanese community in the Philippines voluntarily and promptly extending their helping hand to those people in need.
Today, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines has further sent David Chen to travel with the Tzu Chi Foundation, a NGO charity organization from Taiwan based in the Philippines.
To offer assistance in a timely fashion, Taipei Economic and Cultural office in the Philippine on Oct 19 has coordinated with Philippine branch office of Tzu Chi Foundation bringing in 3 million peso in cash and 1000 blankets to conduct relief efforts in Bohol province and to evaluate rehabilitation requirements and measures. Tzu-Chi foundation, a non-governmental charity organization based in Taiwan, it's branch office in the Philippines ever donated 70 million peso to help Marikina city recover from damages caused by typhoon Ondoy and Peng-peng in 2009.
