The Republic of China (Taiwan) introduces the “Employment Gold Card” for international highly skilled professionals (HSP).

The “Employment Gold Card” is a 4-in-1 card including a work permit, resident visa, Alien Resident Certificate, and Re-entry Permit for highly skilled professionals who wish to live and work in Taiwan for 1 to 3 years.
♦ The benefits of the “Employment Gold Card” are as follows:
- 1-3 years stay in Taiwan with multiple-entry/exit privileges as long as the card is valid (even during the COVID-19 pandemic
- Eligibility to work for any company or start your own business in Taiwan
- Residence for dependents, and a 1 year visitor visa for lineal relatives
- Tax benefits in terms of income tax deduction and exemption
- Entitlement to National Health Insurance
- Privileged customs clearance service at Speedy Immigration Counter at Taiwan’s international airports
