In celebration of the 111th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines presents a short video featuring 6 cooperation initiatives between Taiwan and the Philippines in the past year.
• Taiwan cares and Taiwan can help. Taiwan always stands with the Philippines when it is in need of help such as Typhoon Odette and Abra earthquake.
• Agriculture: We prosper together. The “Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan” is one of the pivotal projects. While the first batch of the young farmers returned to the Philippines in last September, we wish the second batch interns another fruitful 11-month learning journey in Taiwan!
• Trade and Investment: We thrive together. Taiwan has been facilitating trade and investment partnerships with the Philippines as part of its New Southbound Policy. Investment from the Taiwanese businesses in the Philippines continues to grow.
• Taiwanese community in the Philippines. We are grateful for their contribution which helps further bilateral exchanges between Taiwan and the Philippines.
• Study in Taiwan. We extend various programs such as the Taiwan Scholarship Programs, Taiwan Experience Education Program, and the Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program!
• Time for Taiwan. Taiwan is currently gradually relaxing its border control measures since the travel ban in March 2020. Now is the best time to experience and explore Taiwan.
Wish the Republic of China (Taiwan) a happy 111th birthday!
