4-week Summer Mandarin School organized by National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung will be open for applications from February 1!
Batch 1: 30 June – 25 July 2025 (15 people)
Batch 2: 28 July – 22 August 2025 (20 people)
The NSYSU Summer School program consists of:
- Intensive 4-week Mandarin language course:
- 3 hours of classes per day (9.00 – 12.00, Monday to Friday).
- Class groups tailored to students' levels: basic, elementary, intermediate, advanced.
- Cultural classes:
- An engaging cultural program consisting of 3 courses, lectures or practical activities, such as taichi, calligraphy, seal making, or shulaibao.
- Opportunity to participate in language exchange with Taiwanese students.
- Sightseeing tours & activities:
- 2 field trips to the most interesting places in Kaohsiung and other areas,
- An offer of 4 extracurricular activities.

*Please note that dormitories will not be available during this year's course. Information on off-campus accommodation and its costs can be obtained by scanning the QR code available in the brochure.
Conditions of eligibility for the program:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Active student status at a Polish university.
This year, 35 students from Poland will be able to participate in the NSYSU Summer School and receive a scholarship of NTD 24,000 from Taiwan's Ministry of Education to partially cover the cost of the trip. Interested parties are required to send the following documents:
- filled-out application form
- student ID scan (both sides)
- passport scan (document must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entering Taiwan)
- ID photo
- signed consent to processing of personal data
to the Education Division’s mailbox until 28 February 2025*. At a later stage, accepted participants will also be required to send information about their booked flight by the deadline set by the NSYSU coordinator.
*Please note that the applications might close prior to that date if the quota is reached!
Education Division reserves the right to make the final decision on approving the applications and admitting an applicant to the program.
