4-week Summer Mandarin School organized by National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung is opening for applications!

The NSYSU Summer School programme consists of:
- Intensive 4-week Mandarin language course:
- 3 hours of classes per day (9.00 – 12.00, Monday to Friday).
- Class groups tailored to students' levels: basic, elementary, intermediate, advanced.
- Cultural classes:
- An engaging cultural programme consisting of 3 courses, lectures or practical activities, such as calligraphy, seal making, or sugar painting.
- Opportunity to participate in language exchange with Taiwanese students.
- Sightseeing tours & activities:
- 2 field trips to the most interesting places in Kaohsiung and other areas,
- offer of 4 extracurricular activities.

*Please note that dormitories will not be available during this year's course. Information on off-campus accommodation and its costs can be obtained by scanning the QR code available in the brochure.
Conditions of eligibility for the programme:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Active student status at a Polish university.
- Did not participate in the Summer School in the past.
This year, 40 students from Poland will be able to participate in the NSYSU Summer School and receive a scholarship of NTD 24,000 from Taiwan's Ministry of Education to partially cover the cost of the trip. Interested parties are asked to send the following documents:
- filled-out application form
- student ID scan (both sides)
- passport scan (passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entering Taiwan)
- ID photo
- signed consent to processing of personal data
to the Education Division’s mailbox (edudiv@mofa.gov.tw) until 28.02.2026*. At a later stage, accepted participants will also be required to send information about their booked flight by the date set by the NSYSU coordinator.
*Please note! The recruitment to the program may close earlier if too many applications are received. Education Division of Representative Office of Taipei in Poland reserves the right to make the final decision on approving the application and admitting an applicant to the programme.
