For the inaugural “Taiwan International Plant-Based Festival” in Singapore, the office has produced special songs with the help of artificial intelligence in Mandarin and English to showcase Taiwan’s dynamic energy and vibrant agriculture through technology, art and innovation. The songs〈臺星交輝・蔬食盛宴〉 and the English song "Taiwan and Singapore Shining Together: A Vegan Banquet” can be found on Youtube.
Co-organised by the Ministry of Agriculture of Taiwan, Michelin Green Star “Yangming Spring” dining group, and the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore, the event introduces high-quality Taiwanese plant-based cuisine to Singaporean consumers. The festival hopes to bring the philosophy of health and sustainability to consumers in Singapore and encourage the spirit of health-focused living.
The festival features a rich and diverse lineup of activities.
Fo Guang Shan Singapore will host an event series sponsored by Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture. These include the "Tainung No. 23 Mango Pineapple," as well as Taiwan’s renowned Oncidium and Phalaenopsis orchids. Tzu Chi Singapore will co-host a forum on plant-based living based on humanistic care. A curated exhibition of rare orchids and fruit-tastings will be held at the Representative’s official residence. Notably, this year's festival will feature a special collaboration between Taiwan's Yangming Spring and Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant to launch a time-limited set menu. The menu incorporates a fine selection of Taiwan's locally sourced fruits and vegetables into dishes through innovative culinary techniques.
The festival is scheduled to run from 31st May through 30th September. The lineup includes an all-vegan cooking exchange and charity bazaar at Fo Guang Shan Singapore from 31st May to 1st June; a vegetarian educational forum at the Tzu Chi Foundation Singapore on 6th June; and a pop-up plant-based menu at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant from 1st July to 30th September 2026.
All residents in Singapore are invited to participate in the plant-based exchanges and savour the rich charm of Taiwan's top-tier plant-based cuisine and exquisite agricultural products.
