The current visa requirements for Sri Lankan nationals applying for entry into Taiwan are as follows:
1.Applications for tourist visas will not be accepted
2.Applicants traveling to Taiwan for any of the following purposes may apply for a visa: Official visits at the invitation of a government agency of the Republic of China (Taiwan); Participation in international conferences or events; Family visits (limited to relatives within the third degree of kinship); Business; Boarding a vessel in Taiwan as a crew member; or Short-term medical treatment.
Such applicants are required to submit a Letter of Guarantee issued by a guarantor in
Taiwan. The guarantor must be a holder of a Republic of China (Taiwan) National
Identification Card, and the Letter of Guarantee must be authenticated by the Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA), a domestic branch office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or an overseas mission of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
In addition to the standard visa application requirements, all applicants are required to submit the following supporting documents:
A Police Clearance Certificate (Certificate of No Criminal Record);
Proof of financial capacity;
Proof of accommodation arrangements during their stay in Taiwan; and
