Representative Hsieh tours ATHINK Biotechnology Pte Ltd – a Taiwanese business investment in Singapore

Representative Hsieh and Mrs Hsieh were invited to visit the orchid greenhouse facilities managed by ATHINK Biotechnology Pte Ltd, a Taiwanese owned business venture in Singapore, on 7 January 2012. Accompanying Mr and Mrs Hsieh for the visit were Senior Advisor Peter Ho, Commercial Secretary Thomas Tang and Cultural Secretary Kuei Yeh Chin.
During the visit, Mr Kuo Ping Ming, General Manager of ATHINK Biotechnology Pte Ltd shared extensively with Mr Hsieh on the various orchid cultivation techniques, maintenance of greenhouse facilities, current state of business operation for orchid industries run by Taiwanese businessmen in Singapore, local investment climate for orchid cultivation and directions for future business expansions. The move by Mr Kuo’s company to set up an orchid greenhouse locally paved the way for inroads and expansion of orchard cultivation business in the Singapore and Malaysia markets.
The company’s venture not only helps to promote Taiwan’s orchid culture and its highly rated agricultural industry but also serves as an exemplary model of success for the promotion of high quality agricultural products in the overseas markets.
