Representative Ta-Tung J. Chang Attends Singapore Alumni of Taiwan Universities & Colleges’ (ATUC) Chinese New Year Gathering

At the invitation of the Alumni of Taiwan Universities & Colleges (ATUC), Representative and Mrs. Ta-Tung J. Chang attended its Chinese New Year gathering on 20 February 2016. Among the invited guests were the Commissioners and Advisors of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisory Committee; Mr. Chen Zhengmin, President of the Taipei Business Association; and Mr. Cham Seng Yin, President of the United Chinese Library.
In his address, Representative Chang wished ATUC members and their families a happy and prosperous Year of the Monkey. He shared that having had the experience of studying abroad at a young age, he could empathize with the members’ struggles and hardships of living and studying away from home. He expressed his admiration for ATUC members who, despite the challenges faced, have successfully made a mark for themselves in various fields in Singapore.
At the gathering, Dr. Wong Wai Nam, ATUC President, shared the highlights of the alumni’s inaugural commemorative e-book, launched 38 years after the alumni’s founding in Singapore.
