New initiative for Mainland China passport holders’ tourism entry permit application

Starting from 8 February 2017, Taiwan National Immigration Agency (hereinafter referred to as NIA)will launch an initiative which gradually requires overseas Mainland China passport holders wishing to visit Taiwan for tourism purpose to apply for their entry permit via Electronic Application System (EPS). In coordination with the NIA to conduct a trail for the afore-mentioned initiative, the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore (hereinafter to referred to as TROS) will no longer accept Mainland China passport holders (including through a travel agency) to apply for Taiwan tourism entry permit in person or through a travel agent via paper applications on 8 February 2017.
