Deputy Representative Steven Tai Attends Singapore Oh Hong Sia Association’s 71st Anniversary cum Wu An Zun Wang’s Birthday Celebration

On behalf of Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang, Deputy Representative Steven Tai of the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore attended the Singapore Oh Hong Sia Association’s celebration on 13 March 2018 to commemorate its 71st anniversary cum Wu An Zun Wang’s birthday.
In his address, Deputy Representative Tai paid tribute to the founding pioneer members of the Association for their perseverance and contributions to Singapore’s society and nation building. Abiding by its mission to provide mutual assistance and fellowship, the Association has helped to bridge differences and build connections between the new immigrants and the local community. Deputy Representative Steven Tai also highlighted the close ties in trade, culture and tourism between Taiwan and Singapore. In a sign of growing ties, Taiwan overtook Indonesia as Singapore’s fifth largest trading partner in 2017.
