Starting from 18th July 2012, visitors of Petržalka’s Draždiak lake can connect to Internet free of charge. Another free wifi zone in the capital is part of a free wifi project financially supported by the Republic of China (Taiwan) Development Fund. The internet connection near the Draždiak lake was officially launched by the Taiwanese Representative David Nan-yang Lee and Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs Ivan Štefanec. “After a positive feedback from public, enjoying the free wifi zones in other parts of Bratislava, we have decided to continue in this meaningful project. As I have learned from Mr. Štefanec, Draždiak lake is a very popular place to spend hot summer days hear in Bratislava, so I believe that visitors will appreciate and enjoy this new free service,” said Nan-yang Lee. Slovak-Taiwanese Parliamentary Friendship Group headed by MP Ivan Štefanec cooperates with the Taipei Representative Office on various projects bringing benefits to both citizens and visitors of Bratislava.
