“The 20th Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition of Taichung City”
The 20th Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition of Taichung City will call for entries soon. Anyone interested in art creation is welcome to take part.
Calling for entries in April every year, the Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition has always attracted a large number of art lovers at home and abroad to take part. The winner of "Da Dun Prize," the highest honor, will be rewarded NT$240,000 as prize money. It is a competition that art creators must take part. There are 11 entry categories including ink wash painting, calligraphy, seal engraving, glue color painting, oil painting, water color painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, crafts and digital art. Entries for first review should be submitted between April 3 and 13, 2015. Everyone is welcome to take the challenge of Da Dun Prize.
1. Eligibility:
(1) All domestic and foreign artists.
(2) Participants can apply to multiple categories but must submit only one item for each category. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any applicant from participating in the Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition for a three-year period if he or she is found copying, imitating or forging the works of other artists.
(3) Submitted artworks must be original individual creations completed in the past two years. Artworks (including those made in series)that have won any award (excluding academic awards) or have been short-listed for exhibition in any open call art exhibition are not allowed to participate in this competition.
2. Categories and regulations for submitted artworks: There are 11 entry categories including ink wash painting, calligraphy, seal engraving, glue color painting, oil painting(including acrylic, graphic mixed media), water color painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture(including three-dimensional mixed media), crafts and digital art.
3. Entries for first review: Please send in by registered mail your application form, 8 x 10 inch photos, other relevant documents to the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government (Floor 8, Huizhong Building, No. 99, Sec. 3, Taiwan Boulevard, Xitun Dist., Taichung City 40701, Taiwan / Visual Arts Division, Cultural Affairs Bureau, Taichung City Government) between April 3 and April 13, 2015. Please mark on your envelope “For○ ○category of the 20th Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition of Taichung City."
4. Award Presentation Ceremony will be held at the Zhongshan Hall, Cultural Affairs Bureau, Taichung City Government on the afternoon of October 24, 2015(Saturday).
5. Exhibition of winning artworks will be held at the Taichung City Dadun Cultural Center between October 24 and November 11, 2015
