Even though the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Swaziland does not have a “Tourism Division”, nevertheless the Embassy is committed to promoting the tourism industry of both countries.
In terms of tourism promotion for Taiwan, the Embassy provides opportunities for the Swazi media and officials to visit Taiwan and the Taiwan Scholarship recipients’ studies in Taiwan to introduce to them the tourist attractions, culture and people of Taiwan. Upon their return from Taiwan, the Swazi friends are all deeply impressed by the warm hospitality and the harmonious co-existence of the traditional culture and modern life in Taiwan.
In terms of the tourism promotion for Swaziland, since the visit to Swaziland by the Taiwanese travel agents in March 2007, more and more Taiwanese tourist groups visit this Kingdom. The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has always been one of their top destinations, the Embassy staff always welcome them warmheartedly, briefing them on the bilateral relations between the two countries, and to increase the Taiwanese understanding of Swaziland.
The travel program “King of Adventures” from the Sanli TV in Taiwan visited Swaziland in August to September 2007 to cover not only the annual cultural event of Umhlanga (Reed Dance), but furthermore to learn about the tourism attractions and the abundant Swazi culture. That program helped a lot in introducing and promoting the beauty of Swaziland to the Taiwanese viewers.
