INTRODUCTION
Our undergraduate program, established in 2007, aims at teaching Chinese as a second language (CSL) for international students, and we are currently the only university department in Taiwan that recruits international students only and offers a B.A. degree.
Our current students, more than one hundred in number, come from more than 20 countries in North America, Central and South America, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Middle East. Therefore, the program has more international students than any other university department in Taiwan, and the nationalities of the undergraduate student body are the most diverse, too.
Our students have made impressive progress in their Chinese language ability after studying in our program, and it demonstrates the educational achievements, with our emphasis on language and culture teaching.
