President Tsai Invites His Majesty King Mswati Ⅲ to Celebrate Triple 50s in Taiwan Next Year.

On 12th December 2017, President Tsai Ing-wen extended an invitation to H.M. King Mswati Ⅲ to visit Taiwan in 2018 in celebration of the triple 50s when the president received a delegation led by Hon. Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Swaziland at the President Office. President Tsai emphasized that next year marks a milestone because both countries will embrace the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties, while H.M. King Mswati Ⅲ will celebrate his 50th birthday and the Kingdom of Swaziland will witness the 50th anniversary of regaining its independence.
Hon. Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze, upon his 9th visit to Taiwan, also renewed an agreement with his counterpart, Dr. David Tawei Lee, Minister of Foreign Affairs, to further strengthen cooperation in various fields. Meanwhile, Taiwan commits itself as a loyal development partner on the achievement of H.M. King Mswati Ⅲ’s Vision 2022.
President Tsai further expressed her gratitude for Swaziland's unwavering support for Taiwan's international participation and expected the bilateral friendship will continue to deepen.
