To deepen Taiwan–Thailand educational cooperation, promote academia–industry collaboration, and enhance the visibility of Taiwanese higher education in Thailand, the Taiwan Higher Education Fair and Job Counseling 2025 will take place on August 30 and 31 at Samyan Mitrtown Hall (5th Floor) in Bangkok. This large-scale event will gather 39 leading Taiwanese universities and 12 Taiwan-affiliated enterprises to provide Thai students with comprehensive information on study opportunities and career prospects in Taiwan.
Organized by the Taiwan Education Center in Thailand under the guidance of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Taiwan, the fair will feature academic program overviews, admissions consultations, scholarship information, and one-on-one guidance for Thai students seeking to pursue higher education in Taiwan.
The Steering Committee for the Test of Proficiency–Huayu (SC-TOP) will also participate in the fair to provide complete information about the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL), assisting students in preparing for Mandarin language requirements when studying in Taiwan.
Visitors will have the opportunity to join a lucky draw at the event, with the top prize being a free three-month in-person Mandarin language course offered by a certified Taiwan Mandarin Learning Center.
In addition to academic opportunities, the fair will also highlight career and internship pathways. Twelve Taiwan-affiliated enterprises operating in Thailand will host booths on-site to provide internship and employment consultation services, supporting students in mapping out a full educational and professional journey—from studying in Taiwan to launching a career.
Peter Lan, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, remarked that Taiwan–Thailand educational cooperation has been deepening. Building on this momentum, both sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Technical and Vocational Education and Training Cooperation on June 20, 2025. The MOU promotes bilateral collaboration in technical and vocational education, providing Thai students in Taiwan with more hands-on training and job-ready skills—thus laying a solid foundation for future collaboration in innovation and technology between the two countries.
To further implement the MOE’s Action Plan for Recruiting and Retaining International Students, the Taiwan–Thailand International Talent Circulation Base held its inauguration ceremony on August 29 at the KX Knowledge Exchange Center in Bangkok. The Base will offer Mandarin preparatory courses, academic exchange platforms, and international cooperation resources to support more Thai students in pursuing higher education in Taiwan, and to facilitate collaboration between universities in both countries on International Industrial Talents Education Special Programs (INTENSE Programs).
With its strong faculty, diverse academic resources, and globally oriented learning environment, Taiwan has long been a favored destination for students from Southeast Asia. In 2024, Taiwan hosted more than 120,000 international students, with nearly 5,000 students from Thailand, making it the sixth-largest source country for inbound students. These figures reflect the growing momentum and depth of Taiwan’s international academic exchange.
The Taiwan Education Center in Thailand warmly invites Thai students, educators, and parents to attend the fair and explore the exciting opportunities that Taiwan’s higher education system and employment landscape have to offer.
