During the general debate of the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Tuvalu PM Natato pointed out that " the preamble of the UN charter begins with We the peoples, is a powerful statement, to underscore human dignity and human rights as equal people, men and women, boys and girls of all races and colors. It entails inclusivity and non-discrimination, and oneness of humankind that United Nations must have hold.
Sadly many people and communities have not been given the same treatment to what therefore calls for this esteemed body to ensure the participation of everyone worldwide including the people of Taiwan. We must make the necessary arrangement for Taiwan to meaningfully participate in relevant UN specialized agencies and mechanisms. Taiwan must be allowed to participate in key UN organization, because Taiwan is widely known for being enabled, trustworthy, and willing partner greatly contributes to collective efforts that address pressing global issues under the purview of the UN agencies.
