Lancaster University is tendering for the supply and installation of one wind turbine generator with a tip height of no greater than 101 metres. The total installed capacity should be in the region of 2.5MW.
Installation will be on University land to the east of the M6 off Hazelrigg Lane. The planning application for the project has been submitted.
It is expected that this contract will be for the supply and installation only, excluding any associated civil engineering works, however should a bidder wish to include the provision of the base on which the turbine is mounted, or other aspects of the civil and electrical work, or other associated services then these options may be considered once the decision is taken on the source of the turbine and may be included in the contract.
