Surgical instruments. Surgical implants. The Kings Health Partners (KHP) organisation currently has no formal contract agreements in place for the supply of Arthroscopic Consumables. Both Trusts' use a combination of suppliers.
The tender exercise has the following two primary aims:
- Ensure supply agreements for Arthroscopic consumables represent value for money via a market test;
- Maximise the opportunity to secure best value for money in return for a commitment contract model and in return for year on year planned growth;
- Explore option of using the new contract agreement to obtain replacement equipment (scopes and stack systems) free on loan to support the Arthroscopic Service.
- Bidders will be expected to consign stock in the rationalisation of suppliers if awarded .Part of the department remit is to be leaner in stock management.
- Support Clinical staff with training and access to courses and facilities on and off site when required.
It is possible that the participating Trusts may choose to appoint different suppliers from the framework.
This framework is available to any other NHS organisation working with the KHP Shared Procurement Service.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: The Authority will apply all the offences listed in Article 45(1) of Directive 2004/18/EC (implemented as Regulation 23(1) of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2006 in the UK) and all of the professional misconducts listed at Article 45(2) of Directive 2004/18/EC (see also Regulation 23(2) in the PCR 2006) to the decision of whether a Candidate is eligible to be invited to tender.
