Taiwanese Speakers feature in ‘Taiwan Lectures on Chinese Studies’ SOAS Summer School Programme

On Thursday 19th June, 2014, Professor Lin Man-Houng of Academia Sinica will be delivering a lecture at SOAS, University of London, as part of its Taiwan Studies Postgraduate Summer School. The event will be held in room KLT (College Building) at SOAS from 13.30 to 18.10.
Professor Lin will discuss two topics, followed by a fifty-minute Q&A session. The first lecture will last ninety minutes and is entitled “The May 26, 1971 Note: A Basis for Taiwan’s Sovereignty Claim over the Diaoyutai Islets”. The second talk, which shall be one hour in duration, focuses upon Taiwan, Manchukuo and the Sino-Japanese War.
The final lecture in the programme introduces resources for Chinese Studies in Taiwan and shall be presented by Ms Yu Hsiao-ming, Director of the Special Collection Division at National Central Library in Taiwan.
