Taipei City Hospital deputy-superintendent leads delegation to UK

On 2 May, the Deputy Superintendent of Taipei City Hospital (TCH) Dr Oscar K. Lee, led a delegation to London to promote medical collaboration between Taiwan and the UK.
Dr Lee, who is also a professor at the Institute of Clinical Medicine of the National Yang-Ming University, met with Representative Lin and discussed the advantages of smart medical care as well as the latest medical devices developed in Taiwan. The Representative invited Dr Lee to participate in a variety of Taiwan-UK cooperative programmes on smart cities in fields such as ‘smart medicare.’
Dr Lee also led a delegation to the 2017 annual meeting of the International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT), a global association aiming to translate cellular therapy into safe and effective therapies to improve patients' lives. During the event, Dr Lee was formally elected to the position of Vice President of the ISCT Asia Regional Executive Committee.
Following the ISCT meeting, the delegation visited the King’s College London’s Cicely Saunders Institute (CSI) where they worked to promote further palliative care collaboration between TCH and CSI.
