The Taiwanese artisan chocolate brand KANMI has received two awards for its products in UK competitions, being granted a bronze medal in the 2017 Academy of Chocolate Awards and a one-star accolade in the 2017 Great Taste & Artisan Food Competition.
The creator of KANMI, Sabrina Lin, states the brand is dedicated to introducing handmade chocolate with unique oriental flavours to the UK market. After receiving her bronze medal, Ms Lin said ‘we believe the concept of kanmi perfectly describes the complex bittersweet taste of the chocolate.’
Born in Taiwan, Ms Lin has been living in the UK for six years. Her enthusiasm for making her own Asian style chocolates led to the creation of KANMI, which in Mandarin describes the transition between bitter and sweet. Her chocolate also featured at this year’s Speciality and Fine Food Fair in London.
