Representative Lin heads Taiwan delegation at EBRD annual forum

From 8-10 May, Representative Lin led a seven member Taiwan delegation to the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)’s 27th Annual Meeting and Business Forum held in Jordan. The delegation was comprised of representatives from Taiwan’s governmental agencies and NGOs, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF).
During the visit, Representative Lin held bilateral meetings with other heads of delegations from EBRD’s countries of operations to exchange views on how Taiwan, in concert with the EBRD, can strengthen economic ties and technical cooperation with their respective countries. On 10 May, Representative Lin and EBRD Vice President Pierre Heilbronn signed an agreement providing $US 4,000,000 to replenish the TaiwanBusiness-EBRD Technical Cooperation Fund. In a speech at the annual awards ceremony of the EBRD Trade Facilitation Programme, Representative Lin congratulated award recipients and also reiterated Taiwan’s strong commitment to continuing its long-standing partnership with the EBRD.
