Registration is now open for the annual “Intelligent Ironman Creativity Contest” which will take place in Taiwan from the 30th July – 2nd August, 2020.
A team consisting of a minimum of four and a maximum of six members may participate in the contest, although each country is limited to entering one team. The contest incorporates knowledge, creativity, endurance, physical strength, willpower and teamwork. It is recommended that each team member specialise in a different discipline in order to meet the diverse requirements of the competition.
The main project is to create and manufacture a unique product designed by the team members themselves. All tools utilised must be purchased through an online virtual shop, using credit obtained through completion of tasks related to Natural Science, Social Science and physical fitness. The competition will run non-stop for 72 hours, during which time each team shall work together from an assigned base, in isolation from other teams and the outside world. The official language for the contest is English.
Accommodation costs and living expenses will be covered for all team members, as well as one team advisor and one evaluation committee representative. Some support for transportation expenses may also be provided upon request, subject to availability. The champions shall win NT$ 150,000 (approx. US$ 4,600), with financial prizes for runners-up and other key achievements also awarded.
Registration must be completed by the 31st May, 2020. Further details can be found on the website: https://ironman.creativity.edu.tw/18th/eng/introduction.html.
