The Taiwan Top Universities Allies delegation visited the UK

The 13-delegate delegation led by Prof. Si-Chen Lee visited universities in the UK during 12th-20th of July. Prof. Ching-Ray Chang, the Director General of Department of International Cooperation of National Science Council (NSC) and Mr. Hsin-Yuan Lai, the Director programme of British Council, Taipei, also joined the whole visit through. The delegation has exchanged research information with many universities in the UK. This visit has promoted mutual understanding and set up cooperative channels.
In order to seek more opportunities to cooperate with UK universities, the delegation visited Imperial College London, University of Edinburgh, King’s College London, University of Southampton, University of Bath, UCL, and University of Glasgow. The visit is financially sponsored by both NSC and the British Council Taipei. And the most important event during this visit is the UK-Taiwan Research Cooperation Forum held in London on the 20th of July. In the forum, the representatives from the UK universities paid highly attention to NSC’s International Cooperative Mechanism, and they also expressed strong intentions to build up cooperative relationships with Taiwan universities in the future.
