In the global crisis of COVID-19, a great number of governments worldwide had shut down their schools or educational institutions, resulting in the suspension of learning of children. Nevertheless, NTNU SCE encourages 〝classes were suspended, but learning continues,” and has designed a series of online mandarin classes. You may be confined to a particular place, but you can choose to learn Mandarin online anywhere!

●Passenger：Students who are 6 – 9 years old and interested in Mandarin and Chinese culture.

●Flight Duration：June – August, 2021 Taiwan Time(GMT+8)

40 min. a class/ 3 times per session

A-B consist of different topics, while the program of Saturday and Sunday are the same.

Basic Cabin (Beginner)	The students will understand basic words when the speech is slow and clear with repetition and sufficient visual aids. For beginners Used to learn Mandarin for 0-150 hours in non-Chinese speaking areas Suitable for 0-300 Vocabulary level
Primary Cabin	The students will understand basic phrases when they are pronounced clearly and repeatedly. Used to learn Mandarin for 150-300 hours in non-Chinese speaking areas Suitable for 300-700 Vocabulary
Intermediate Cabin	The students will understand the main points of daily dialogues. Used to learn Mandarin for 300-450 hours in non-Chinese speaking areas Suitable for 700-1000 Vocabulary
Advanced Cabin	The students will understand long conversation and short articles related to daily living, hobbies, habits, travel, school life and recreation etc., also, they will learn how to grasp the key information of the written materials. Used to learn Mandarin for 450 hours in non-Chinese speaking areas Suitable for 1000-1500 Vocabulary.

This table is only a reference for learners in non-Chinese speaking areas. Self-study time is included in the learning hours. For learners living in Chinese-speaking areas, the amount of learning hours should be halved.
