The 8th Taiwan International Documentary Festival 2012 (TIDF 2012) is calling for entries, and the deadline is 15 June. Documentaries of any style and form completed after 1 July, 2010 are eligible for the competition. Works submitted must be Taiwan premieres, except for Taiwan productions. Certificates will be granted to each nominated documentary. One director or producer for each nominated film will also be invited to attend the festival, and TIDF 2012 will provide them with accommodation and a round-trip economy-class ticket to Taiwan. Submitted films will also be included in the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts archives where they will be stored on DVD for research and educational purposes.
TIDF is a biennial festival established in 1998, held by the Cabinet-level Council for Cultural Affairs and organized by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. This year the festival will take place from 19 to 28 October, with events including International Competitions, Non-Competition Programs, Master Classes and Workshops.
