This year, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office and Global Federation of Chinese Business Women (GFCBW) Atlanta Chapter are honored to participate in Fernbank Museum’s “Winter Wonderland” celebration. The exhibit features 27 nine-foot-tall trees decorated with different cultural themes. It runs from November 17, 2017-January 7, 2018.
The theme for TECO’s Christmas tree this year is bicycles. Ms. Jackie Chen, President of GFCBW, was in charge of this year’s tree decoration. She used silver/grey ribbon as the road with 40 different sizes of bicycle mini-models to signify the coming 40-year anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Taipei and Atlanta in 2019. She also put on lots of Taiwan scenery postcards for people who are interested in visiting Taiwan.
The signage describes TECO’s Christmas tree as: The words “Made in Taiwan” have become ubiquitous in the bicycle industry. Taiwan is best seen on two wheels and in recent years, the government has embraced the biking market with surprising enthusiasm, vision and funding to build a bicycle friendly environment. In urban cities, bike-sharing programs have changed the way people get around. Around the island, bicycle trails go hand in hand with sightseeing spots and bike rental shops. The cycling route around the Sun Moon Lake is one of CNN's 10 best cycling routes in the world.
TECO is proud to be a part of Fernbank’s multicultural exhibition for the 5th time, and extend all best wishes for a happy holiday season.
