The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta, in collaboration with teachers from the Atlanta Chinese School and FASCA members, participated in the Cobb County International Festival on August 23 this year. In addition to two stage performances featuring the Third Prince dance, the office also set up a booth to promote Taiwan’s Mandarin education, tourism, and participation in the WHO. Director General Lin personally introduced the current state of Taiwan’s education and culture to local attendees at the booth.
The event organizers labeled the booth with "Taiwan," and our teachers and volunteers engaged the public by offering Chinese calligraphy of attendees’ names, chopstick challenge games, and photo opportunities with the roaming Third Prince, drawing the largest crowds of the day. These efforts successfully promoted the national image of Team Taiwan.
Cobb County Chairwoman Lisa Cupid presented a certificate of appreciation to the office for its participation and took photos with the delegation and the Third Prince. The event attracted over 8,000 attendees throughout the day and was a great success.
